What is cosmetic treatments?Cosmetic treatments are semi-permanent cosmetic tattoos with a technique that involves creating hair-like strokes, makeup or to enhance the natural features of the face. The process uses a small handheld tool with tiny needles to deposit pigment into the skin's upper layers to create a natural appearance. The result is a fuller, more defined, and natural-looking that lasts for up to 18 months. Sarah is highly experience and uses only the highest-quality pigments and sterile tools to ensure your safety and satisfaction
-
Will it be painful? We use a topical anaesthetic cream and gel to numb the area being treated during your procedure. While every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entire procedure, small amounts of discomfort are to be expected as pain thresholds vary from person to person. Rest assured Sarah will do everything possible to make your experience as pain-free as possible.
-
Is cosmetic tattooing permanent?Cosmetic tattooing is considered as a semi-permanent procedure. The pigment will not wash off and will remain on the skin for years. However, over time the pigment may fade or change colour, which is why touch-ups are recommended every 1-2 years to maintain the desired look. The longevity of the tattoo can range from 1-10 years or even longer, and traces of pigment will always be present.
-
What do I have to do before my cosmetic treatment? It is important that you avoid using any skin/blood thinners (Vitamin A, Glycolic acids) on the brow area for two weeks prior to your appointment. Additionally, do not consume any alcohol, fish oil, caffeine or take any blood thinners (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin) 48 hours before your procedure, as this may cause excess bleeding and affect your results. We also recommend that you come to your appointment with your eyebrows styled as you normally would, so we can see your everyday look and style.
-
Will my semi-permanent makeup look dark and intense after the procedure?Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days. This is completely normal and part of the healing process. As your skin heals, the colour will gradually lighten and settle into a natural-looking shade. You may experience some redness and swelling, but this is usually minimal and subsides quickly. Detailed aftercare instructions are provided to help you take care of your skin and ensure the best possible results.
-
What do I do after my treatment? It is important to keep the eyebrow and surrounding area dry for 7-10 days. This includes avoiding activities such as swimming, saunas, steam, and sweating. Additionally, you should avoid using any oils or moisturisers, as well as exfoliants across the forehead or eyelids. When showering, take extra care to keep the area as dry as possible to help prevent premature fading. After your treatment, you will be provided with aftercare guidelines.
